What would you do if you could time travel?

Time travel has possibilities, but has not been proven possible.

Movies, books and television shows have long considered the possibility of time travel. While they base much of their suppositions on imagination, real life scientists have actually studied and made theories about time travel.

Time travel has become a popular topic in entertainment, especially in the sci-fi genre. Each presentation represents time travel differently. Many view time travel as a type of superpower, while others see it as a curse that complicates plots and changes history. While it has been the idea of imagination for ages, the question exists: Is time travel actually possible?

Over time, physicists have tested and explored the basics of time. At one point, they all think about whether or not time travel would be possible. An example of this is one of the most popular theories on time travel which was created by the very popular scientist, Albert Einstein, whose theory was that the closer we come to traveling at the speed of light (186,000 miles per second), the more time would appear to slow down for us from the perspective of someone who, in relation to us, was not moving. This theory is known as time dilation. (Nova).

Scientists have been experimenting with time travel and making the connection to the concept of light years, based on Einstein’s theories. The hypothesis is that a person who traveled one light year into space, there would be one year difference between the traveler’s time and earth’s time. A light year is a unit of astronomical distance equivalent
to the distance that light travels in one year, but that measure of distance equates to a measure of time. However, it would take over 37,000 years to travel one light year in a spaceship, so proving the theory is currently impossible to prove.
