Grease, the movie starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, is known for its classic soundtrack and amazing acting. The soundtrack itself came out on April 14, 1978, but fans worldwide still go crazy for this romantic comedy 45 years later.

Twenty-four songs are featured on the soundtrack and they start with track one, Grease, and end with a similarly named track.

Listening to this soundtrack, my mood was lifted. Overall, these songs bring out great emotions. It felt like I had traveled back into the ‘50s and I loved every moment of it.

My personal favorite was Track #2, Summer Nights, sung by the Travolta and Newton-John. I like how this 3:36 minute song introduced both of them and their perspectives of a summer romance.

When it comes to genre, I would consider this soundtrack a mix of both Rock and Jazz  because there was some moments where my body shifted and I wanted to dance.

The drums, trumpet and guitar were used in many of the songs. Before I listened to the whole soundtrack, I did notice some songs that I was familiar with, such as Tears on My Pillow. A lot of artists have covered this song over the years, including New Edition. Still, other songs were new to me. Track #20, There are Worse Things I Could Do, is an example.

That song was not my favorite on the Grease soundtrack, but overall the album was. I  give it a 10/10.
