It’s all good when Destyni is on the court.

Destyni Goree, the middle blocker in the Junior Varsity (JV) Volleyball team, first found her love for volleyball when her stepsister inspired her, and she joined her first team in her freshman year.

Goree has had a thing for volleyball since middle school and her input had helped her make it an outlet to get out some stress out and leave it on the court.

For some players, the stress of the game and having the crowd’s negative energy can get hard at times, but when a player like Goree has teammates who feel like family to back her up, it’s all good. Having the confidence and will to get through the game is what helps Goree make everything better.

There are ways that Goree takes the stress away from the court. Talking with her dad and just letting it all go and shaking it out helps to calm her nerves before a game. The families coming together, not being a sore loser, and making memories is just a part of it all. Goree enjoys it all and has been meeting new people, even when competing, and that makes the game worthwhile. The competition on the court stays on the court.

She may only be a sophomore, but Goree hopes to be back on the court throughout high school and maybe beyond.
