What makes other Armijo better than other teams in the league is that the Royals know how to pass the ball around and take turns hitting the ball, according to varsity player Amanda Ret.
Ret was inspired to join a team during her freshman year at Armijo because her friends were telling her how much fun it was. Being part of a volleyball team isn’t new to her, though. She started playing last year when she was in 8 th grade.
Now that she’s on the team, she is in a position to encourage other students to get involved in sports. Not only does she enjoy playing on the team, though, but her goal is to become the best player she can.
She may not be sure of where she wants to go to college or if she’ll continue to play volleyball after graduating, but she’s not worried about those decisions. She still has three years to figure that out.
