Did you know that pumpkin spice has even found its way to ramen?

When the leaves start to change colors and fall begins, that means it is time for the pumpkin spice latte to come back around.

Pumpkin pie spice can date all the way to the 1700s in a recipe for pumpkin pie. It comes from the spice islands and doesn’t actually have pumpkin in it. It is mostly made up of pumpkin pie spices like nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. It’s been around for a while but gained immense popularity thanks to the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. For some people, it has become a clichéd drink because of the popularity it has gained over the years.

The latte is a personal fall favorite, but companies seem to have taken pumpkin spice too far. There are now such products as pumpkin spice toothpaste, shampoos, and perfumes. Pumpkin-flavored items are quite peculiar, like the Pumpkin Spice Pringles. It seems odd to mix something traditionally made for sweet items with something savory.

The Pumpkin Spice Ramen Noodles are another peculiar offshoot of the craze, but there are more. There’s Pumpkin Spice Detail Spray in case your car is ever in need of a fall touch. There are even numerous brands that sell Pumpkin Spiced dog treats.

The seasoning has reached its popularity for a reason, though. While having some very questionable products, there are also some you should try and see for yourself. It would be hard to pass up a square of Pumpkin Spice coffee cake, tasty Pumpkin Spice Madeleines, or a slice of Pumpkin Spice cheesecake. Why not dive into a serving of Pumpkin Spice edible cookie dough, or enjoy the flavor in a Japanese Mochi or a Greek yogurt.
