The Key Club offers many ways to connect with your community.

The Key Club offers many ways to connect with your community.

With new leadership and new goals, Armijo Key Club was an excellent choice for the Club Focus for the New Beginnings issue of The Armijo Signal. Key Club is an international organization that was founded in 1925 in Sacramento, California. It currently has more than 270,000 members worldwide, with existing chapters on more than 5,300 high school campuses (http://cincokeyclub.weebly.com/what-is-key-club.html) .

Key Club is a student-led organization and is the largest service program for high school students. It offers many ways to help students connect to the community and is supported by its parent organization, Kiwanis.

Over the years members of Armijo’s Key Club have done things like attend weekly service events to help the community, fundraising for non-profits, and donate to people in need, help clean our campus and our community, and more.

Students interested in helping the community and finding out more about Key Club should listen to the announcements, watch for posters, and talk to Ms. Grace Fahrenthold in A-8. Meeting times and dates will be announced soon.
