Success through hard work was celebrated in FSUSD.

With COVID-19 preventions in mind, the annual Highest Honors Awards ceremony for the Fairfield-Suisun high school Classes of 2022 was held in an outside venue. The 185 students gathered at Rodriguez High School, representing Armijo, Fairfield, Rodriguez, Public Safety Academy (PSA) and Early College seniors.

“The Highest Honors ceremony is held each year in a collaboration between the school district and the cities of Fairfield and Suisun City. Leaders were present to represent all parties,” Matt Miller shared in the May 20 issue of The Daily Republic.

ROTC students from Fairfield High School presented colors; Rodriguez student Sofia Vallejos-Coleman sang the National Anthem. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Valedictorians from all five schools.

The names of the award honorees were shared aloud by the schools’ principals. “The celebration season for students is just beginning with many earning scholarship money in the coming weeks and graduation ahead in early June,” Miller said, wrapping up his article.
