Local students gather together for praise of character.

Of the twenty Solano area students honored at the Fairfield-Suisun Rotary Club’s Good Character Awards hosted on Wednesday, April 27, at the Kroc Center in Suisun, three of them were Armijo students.

Dulce Bernal Ortiz, Jennise Bolls and Jonathan Paz Lopez represented the Royals. Each had been nominated by a teacher for the contributions that they have made for the community. “The students were nominated by their teachers as teens who demonstrate good character, ethical behaviors, or good des (e.g. helping younger students succeed in tehir studies, staning up to bullies, helping others in the community through volunteering). The students received certificates of appreciation from congressional, state, city and school district officials, as well as a $50 cash award from Rotary,” according to a statement shared with the Daily Republic in a May 4 edition of the newspaper.

Students representented several other schools in the district, including Rodriguez High School, Early College High School, Fairfiled High School and Public Safety Academy
