Even at away games, the Royals maintain their competitive edge.

The Royals started off with the 3rd place Rodriguez Mustangs on Monday, April 25, which didn’t go the way they had hoped with a 7-8 Loss.

Next, on Tuesday, April 26, Armijo scrambled to get out to Vacaville and had a great 10-5 Win.

Lastly, the Royals took on the 2nd place Davis Blue Devils and took another Loss at 5-10 which now has Davis tied for 1st with Armijo with 11-3 for the Monticello Empire League (MEL).

Armijo’s Badminton team has one game left, Senior NIght vs Fairfield which should be a good match and then Davis finishes up against Rodriguez on Monday. If Rodriguez wins, then they knock Davis out of 1st and Tie for 2nd with them. If they lose, then they hold 2nd and Davis stays tied for 1st with Armijo.

After that, the MEL champions tournament takes place on Thursday and Friday, May 5 and 6, to Seed for Sectionals which will be the following week on Friday and Saturday, May 13 and 14. The Royals take three doubles teams and three singles players to the tournament for a chance at sectionals.
