The Princess Bride is a tale of fantasy and romance that has entertained audiences for more than 30 years. However, its comedic satire and “inconceivable” nature are what have won the hearts of viewers of all ages. 

Surprisingly, The Princess Bride was not an initial success as upon its 1987 release it performed poorly in the box offices. Even before its production director, Rob Reiner, faced many challenges while trying to pitch the film’s idea. Most moviegoers know the famous lines from the swordsman Inigo Montoya or the romantic “As you wish” line from Westley.
