Winners came through despite recent challenges.

Wednesday, March 23, featured another solid showing from the Armijo Track & Field team, as they won multiple races against the Vanden Vikings. Coming off of the meets over the weekend, the athletes were not at full strength and some were participating in their alternate events, but the following varsity athletes managed to win their races:

Girls:
100m – Egypt Hughes in a new PR of 12.63
200m – Cierra Kinsey in a new PR of 26.12
800m – Lilian Luu in a new PR of 2:29
3200m – Cristina Leanos in 12:36
4x100m relay team in 50.14
Boys:
800m – Marcus Cunanan in 2:12
Shot Put – Jericho Johnson with a throw of 45 feet, 7 inches
Just as a reminder to everyone, the Track team is running a fundraiser through Savers in Vacaville (https://the-armijo-signal.com/29182/sports/spring-cleaning-helps-track-field/) . If you have any gently used clothing or other household goods that you were thinking of donating, you can donate them to the track team to help us raise money! There is still have time left, but it doesn’t hurt to keep it in mind! All donations can be dropped off in room D2.
