Most of the time, when brothers share a birthday, it is because they are twins. That’s not the case, however, for Keshaun and Sterling Williams.

Even though they are exactly three years apart, Keshaun, who is currently a senior, says that he and his brother keep getting mistaken for each other. “Everyone says we look alike,” said freshman Sterling.

It’s been a while since the brothers have attended school together, when they both attended Steffan Manor Elementary in Vallejo. Since they have different goals, they probably will also end up at different colleges, so this might be the last year they attend the same school.

Sterling wants to be a barber and own a few shops, but Keshaun said that he is interested in doing “some sort of engineering.”

While they have their differences, they also have their similarities. One of their favorite pastimes is playing video games, but they aren’t addicted to online adventure. The brothers also play football for Armijo and Sterling plans to join his brother on the track team this spring. Sterling also plans to represent Armijo in basketball in the future. Sports are important to both of them, and Keshaun believes that his brother admires his work ethic when it comes to sports.

While these brothers are close in many ways, they are not alone in their family. They have two younger brothers, ages 11 and 5, and they are both relieved to be spending this year on campus after the challenges they faced last year with COVID.
