People often confuse these sisters for each other.

“Having a sibling that goes to the same school as you is fun so you don’t be bored, or lonely,” said Taytum Buggage. Not only do she and her sister share the campus, but they also share one of their teachers, Ms. Megan Flores, for PE.

The only problem is that “people think we are one with each other,” she said.

“We can never agree on where we’re going to hang due to the fact that our classes are in two different directions,” Taylor said.

As twins, they’ve gone to school together their whole life, but that will change in college. Taytum hopes to go to Louisiana State University while Taylor is leaning more toward Texas A & M.

Taytum’s goal is to become “the best pediatrician surgeon ever,” she said, while Taylor wants to either be a dentist or style hair.

The sisters are both glad to be back in school after last year’s Distance Learning. “COVID has been in the way too long,” Taytum said. I like coming back to school. It’s way easier than online school.”

Online school had its challenges and the sisters lived in a full house, with a 22-year old sister, as well as a 14-year old and a 2-year old sister and two brothers, ages 12 and 11.

“I think my oldest sister would say she’s proud of me, and my other siblings would, too, because I’ve been doing well so far since I started school,” Taylor said.

Taytum thinks that those who aren’t at Armijo would think that the school is odd “because we don’t have early days,” she said, but if things are going to be weird, it’s better to share those oddities with family, and the Buggage sisters really have that in their favor.
