Do you prefer watching movies at home or at the movie theaters?

In April, Tiffany E. Thomas reflected on the movie Earwig and the Witch and reviewed it for Amazon.com. This is what she said:

“I’ve seen a lot of advertisements for this for a while now. I’ve seen a lot of hate for this movie due to this being the studio’s 3-D movie, but I’ve got to say that, after watching the movie, I actually really enjoyed [Earwig and the Witch].

I feel like, due to Studio Ghibli’s new approach to 3-D (we all know the studio for their 2-D animation), I feel like this movie gets a lot more negativity than it should. I feel like it had a spin of its own,… like it should probably got a lot more praise had we not known that it was from Studio Ghibli.

The story… is a very simple one:  A witch abandoned her daughter at an orphanage [and the daughter] is later to be adopted to be a helping hand in the home.

Now, apparently, the author that did this also did Howls’ Moving Castle. [She] unfortunately had not been able to finish this book for she has passed away. So the ending for this movie or the book might leave you unsatisfied. Of course, the movie tries to wrap it up in its own way, but, of course, there are so many things left unanswered…

If you’re willing to get a simple story or willing to look past the new look for Studio Ghibli for the 3-D animation, I would say to go give this film a watch.”
