A day at the beach is a special day for all.

Sure, school has been back in session for a couple of weeks, but August 30 is still a great day to celebrate National Beach Day.

During this day, people celebrate the sandy beaches across the nation. National Beach Day gives us an opportunity to keep these relaxing places safe and clean so that we enjoy them in the future.

Beaches provide recreational activities all summer long, and summer doesn’t officially end until the Autumn Equinox on September 22. We can also create fun memories with family and friends by having a relaxing afternoon on the beach after a long week of school. This would be a great day to watch the sun set, to do an afternoon beach clean-up or to just take advantage of the peace that the beach provides.

While August 30 is National Beach Day, we can celebrate the beach any day by following the rules, disposing of trash, and keeping the environment safe.  On National Beach Day, if you can’t be there in person, share pictures of your favorite beach while enjoying the last weeks of summer.
