The matriarch of the family, Elvira Wayans, passed away in July 2020. She and her husband, Howell Stouten Wayans, were not from a performing family, but their ten children are all very talented.

The youngest brothers, Shawn and Marlon Wayans, continued to make a name for themselves and their family. They worked together in movies like “Little Man” and “White Chicks”.
