Eliminate the clutter and free your mind.

Cleaning up your room is a healthy habit and good for your mind and body. If you don’t have a clean room, it can be overwhelming and continue to become messier and messier as you won’t want to clean it at all.

If you need a day to start, that’s the purpose of National Clean Up Your Room Day on May 10. (National Day Calendar)

Once the room has been thoroughly cleaned and organized, it is easier to keep it from falling into disrepair. Keeping a clean room can benefit you in many different ways, too. When everything is in its place, then it saves time and energy. You can gain valuable organizational skills, and starting the day with a clear room helps you start the day with a clear mind.

Children often don’t see the benefits to a clean room. I remember, as a kid, that I couldn’t stand that my mom would tell me every day to clean my room or I could not go outside or play with friends. Now that I’m more mature, I see the value to a clean and organized room and I maintain it willingly. This experience has taught me that, if I have a clean room, I can have a free mindset.

If your room is like a safe zone for you to just be yourself, why wouldn’t it reflect the way you want your life to be?
