Remember the light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t give up!

Throughout April, we want you to celebrate the National Month of Hope.
Especially in the season of new beginnings, having hope is necessary for everyone. “In 2018, April was designated the National Month of Hope as part of a national awareness campaign by a non-profit group called Mothers in Crisis,” explained the Wellness Universe (https://rb.gy/qftfdq). Over time the campaign has grown and what once started as keeping families drug-free, now is a movement for finding hope all over the country.
“The definition of hope can differ depending on the person doing the talking,” according to Hope Grows (https://rb.gy/fb7lzu). Hope can be a longing for something you’ve been wanting, or a belief that good things will come. “To have hope is to want an outcome that makes your life better in some ways,” Hope Grows said.
COVID-19 has affected all of us mentally and physically. In times like these, we need to be able to find the hope, a light in the darkness. With the help of one another, we can find hope in even the darkest of times. The National Day Calendar provides us with a list to “spread a little sunshine” to others (https://rb.gy/z85ypq). Here are a few simple things you can do:

  • Post on social media with words of hope
  • Lending a helping hand to those in need
  • Cleaning up areas where there is trash such as parks and beaches
