There are things you can do to save water.

Drip. Drip. Drip.

Rain totals are down this year and water is precious. We’re only recently out of a drought so conserving water is still important and one of the ways we can do that is to watch out for leaks in our homes and our environments.

Fix a Leak Week starts March 15 and encourages people to spend the time checking for leaks throughout their homes. According to https://rb.gy/juh50a, “household leaks can waste up to 1 trillion a gallon a week. Imagine how much money can be saved by tightening a washer or repairing a crack in the plumbing or sprinkler system?

This annual reminder encourages people to check household plumbing fixtures and irrigation systems for leaks. Since March 2009, the environmental protection agency has sponsored and organized Fix a Leak Week. For family fun you can runs to leak detection contests or visit Watersense demonstrations.
