Understanding and sharing Black culture are some of BSU’s goals.

Black Student Union (BSU) is about learning, having important discussions, and creativity. Any student can join and it is not restricted to people of color.

BSU was started to help educate and empower people on the culture and history of African-Americans. This year’s BSU hosted its first meeting in January via Google Meets, but it has been meeting as a club on campus for many years.

This year, BSU is being led by adviser Megan Hill, who teaches English and history classes. When school resumes, BSU plans to have meetings in her room, G-3, but until then, the plan is to meet from 12:30 – 1 pm via this Google Classroom link (https://meet.google.com/lookup/h3zwvcdh77) on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. This month, which happens to be Black History Month, the club will be meeting on February 10 and 24. The classroom join code is sspeydr.
