You HAVE to order their signature Squeeze Burger!

The Squeeze Inn Burger has been around for over thirty years, but they definitely started small. The restaurant is actually named because the original location was so small that people had to “squeeze in” to order a burger. Based on a lawsuit for violating the Americans with Disabilities Act, because the restaurant entrance was not large enough for wheelchairs, that particular location was closed several years ago, but other locations have sprung up around the state. The Vacaville location, sadly, was closed a couple of years ago.

Now known simply as Squeeze Burger, the restaurant has nine locations. I went to the one in Downtown Sacramento at 1630 K Street. It opened in 2012.

The most popular burger there is the Squeeze Burger, the food item that made the restaurant famous. This iconic burger has a layer of cheese that forms a delicious cheese skirt that cooks up on the grill.

People also love the fries, including me! They are amazing and cooked just right to the crisp.

They also have shakes and a variety of them. I got the strawberry milk and it was really good, nicely made and pretty to look at.

According to the staff, COVID has impacted their business a bit, but it has really been influential in changing guidelines: masks are required, hand sanitizer is provided, staff wears masks, sanitizing happens between customers, and, of course, social distancing is enforced.

I would definitely recommend stopping by Squeeze Burger, especially when restaurants open for dine-in. I plan go back. I’ve been there once before but this time I was paying attention to everything.

I would definitely give this place a 10/10 review, because they follow COVID guidelines, have great customer service. The food is bomb and the prices are reasonable.
