Monthly writing contest offers cash prizes

Speech Writing – final draft due October 20

“The eyes of the future generations are upon you,” Greta Thunberg told world leaders at the UN Climate Summit on September 23, 2019. “And if you choose to fail us, I say – we will never forgive you.” Powerful words like these are buried into our collective memory, catalyzing social change, inspiring movements, and sparking courage. Words that are written to be spoken are charged with a particular power-crafted to come alive when delivered to an audience. This month, dear writers, compose a speech of your own. We’ll award a prize for the best spoken word delivery as well as one for the best written speech.
