Timing, precision and accuracy give Laura peace in golf.

Laura Johnson was inspired to play golf because her father liked the sport and she wanted to join it, but medical issues kept her from finishing the season last year, and COVID-19 has obviously kept her from playing for the Armijo Royals this year.

She started playing when she was about 12 years old and has developed an affection for the course at Rancho Solano. She said that she likes the sport “because it helped with anxiety. It’s a really relaxing sport.” Her favorite golfer is Ricky Fowler (Learn more here.)

While Johnson may not be able to play when the season resumes because she is still recovering from her injury, she is planning to play when she has healed.
