Jackson and Jonathan, wo brothers with very different goals and very similar paths.

Jackson Harrington may not actually be sharing the Armijo campus with his older brother Jonathan yet, but he is looking forward to it. “He can help answer any questions I have,” he said, and Jonathan agreed that he is more than willing to help Jackson out, whether on campus in the future, or at home during Distance Learning.

Their friends know that they are brothers, but since they don’t currently share any teachers, it hasn’t been an issue, yet. Jackson just started on the pre-IB (International Baccalaureate) program but Jonathan is already a junior in the program. “He has some of my previous teachers,” said Jonathan, so comparisons are inevitable.

Before attending Armijo together, the brothers shared the campuses of St. Basil’s and Suisun Valley Elementary School, but they do not plan on attending the same college. Jonathan wants to go into law while Jackson is geared more toward medicine.

The brothers both enjoy playing soccer and tend to be in the position of goalie, whether it is for Solano United Arsenal, where Jonathan plays, or North Bay Soccer, where Jackson plays. Jonathan has play for Armijo since his freshman year, and Jackson hopes to do the same.

While the brothers spend a lot of time together, they also have very distinct interests.  Jonathan said that he likes to watch horror movies, while Jackson prefers to spend some of his free time playing video games and hanging out with his friends.

It’s been an interesting year, but the Harrington brothers are taking it all in stride. “I am excited to be in high school in the IB program with my brother,” said Jackson. Jonathan said that he feels the same way.
