Eat a balanced breakfast and stay healthy throughout the year!

Everyone’s mother will say that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You might be thinking that surely Mom isn’t right about everything. Some of us are used to missing out on this vital part of the morning, especially during quarantine and summer break. Maybe it’s from waking up too late or due to an effort to prevent weight gain. However, studies show that teens who eat breakfast daily are doing better in school and had a lower body mass index. As always, Mom was right!
For those who tend not to eat breakfast, think about the benefits a nutritious breakfast gives. Whether it be better concentration throughout the day or a well-rested sleep during the night, a balanced breakfast would improve your day and have a long-lasting impact on your life.
Although a healthy sit-down breakfast should hit the four basic food groups, even a grab-and-go breakfast item, such as dry cereal or a breakfast bar, is better than nothing. Your breakfast would supply healthy nutrients and carbohydrates that your body uses as energy to get through the day. Without breakfast, you tend to want to snack on unhealthy foods to replenish your morning hunger. In addition, you might miss some key vitamins from other meals. It is best to eat breakfast within two hours you wake up.
