Andrew volunteered once and is looking for another opportunity.

Andrew Reguera fondly remembers a time that he volunteered for his younger brothers baseball team, the Devil Dawgs, as an act of kindness for his community.

Reguera said that he personally wanted to include himself in something nice and be there for his brother.

The team had decided to feed the homeless with a warm family meal. They had homemade spaghetti along with fruit punch and a variety of cake. “It felt good to be able to feed someone who probably hasn’t had the chance to eat,” said Reguera, “and it’s nice to see people so joyful.”

He admitted that he hasn’t had much time to volunteer lately, since school is a priority, but if an opportunity came up, he said he would participate.

Prioritizing school has paid off for Reguera who was recently accepted into California State University of Chico. He plans on majoring in law enforcement because he’s always been interested in keeping the community safe, and why not make his interests real? After college he may participate in criminal justice training.

Reguera’s personal life consists of spending time with his family, working as a paintball ref, playing video games, and also playing golf. He is one of the members of the Armijo golf team. Reguera said that, if he didn’t plan on going to college full-time, he would probably pursue a Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) tour as a pro golfer.
