The last time Coldplay had a full-length album, you were not even in high school yet. Their last album, Head Full of Dreams, came out in 2015, so their newest album, Everyday Life, should have been worth the wait. But before we decide if that is true, let’s take a look at who they are.

Coldplay is a English rock band, formed in London from 1996. Chris Martin is the lead singer and also plays piano, Johny Buckland is the lead guitarist, Will Champion is the drummer and part-time pianist, and Guy Berryman is the bassist. Phil Harvey manages the band and has been doing so since 1997.

I like Coldplay’s music, but not this particular song because it doesn’t have any beat to it, like not a lot of hype went into the song, It was pretty slow and just wasn’t for me. After listening to the one song, I wasn’t eager to listen to the remainder of the album. It wasn’t the Coldplay I was used to, like The Scientist from their second album A Rush of Blood to the Head. Despite my hesitation, Coldplay has made their mark on the music industry, receiving received 109 awards from 252 nominations for Grammy’s and other awards.
