Var: 4-1 Win (6-2-1) Holding on to first in league!
Jv: 4-0 Win (4-3-2)
Varsity: Tuesday, February 11 was an amazing game! The boys played strong and came to win while maintaining a level head. The Royals got their first goal in by Brandon Ascher in the first five minutes. the second goal was finished by Jasson Diaz from a solid cross by Diego Torres in the last 15 minutes of the first half. Vanden was able to put one away on Armijo not long after in the far side of the net, leaving the score at 2-1 for half.
The Royals picked up the pace again and Diaz got a second goal five minutes into the second half off a rebound. Armijo kept pressing and Torres was able to get one in two minutes later. The Mustangs held strong and Armijo couldn’t find a way through them again, but  ended the night with a 4-1 win. Coach Flores was incredibly proud of these boys and how far they’ve come.
JV: There was a strong show from the JV side with a 4-0 win. Keeper Jonathon Harrington held down the net and didn’t let anything through. There was a beautiful goal from  Esteban Carcamo early on followed soon by a crazy bottom corner goal from Alejandro Godinez. The Royals held it together to end first half at 2-0 but wanted more. They started the secnd half strong and got another goal by Godinez and, in the final five minutes, Carcamo was able to sink another one in the net.
The Royals take on Fairfield on our home turf Thursday, February 13, to end league and celebrate the senior players. A win in this last game will give Armijo first in League and they will head to play offs next week!
