Even as a freshman, Caroline knew she was heading places.

Every year, the Associated Student Body (ASB) elects officers to represent them as a whole and as a class. The ASB officers make overall decisions and recommendations, but the class officers focus on the needs and interests of their grade level.

The treasurer for the Class of 2022 is none other than the sophomore herself, Caroline Kelleher. In her position as Class Treasurer, she is responsible for the money that comes to the class, how to earn it and where to spend it. This is an important position because the Class of 2022 will be responsible for putting together the prom in Spring of 2021, and the more money they have, the more awesome it has the potential of being.

Kelleher said that, while the work is very demanding, she still enjoys it because it’s surprisingly fun. Not only is she responsible for recording the money that comes in and out of the class’s budget, but she also helps with the planning of events. She said that it can be a pain planning so much and getting everyone to focus on his or her work. Kelleher does a great job, striving to be accurate in all of her areas of focus.

Kelleher is very involved at Armijo. In addition to being in Leadership, she is also plays Water Polo. Many of her friends are from those two groups and she frequently hangs out with them. She would encourage other students to get involved in Leadership and discover some of those lifelong friendships that Kelleher seems to have developed.
