“We just had the most amazing day with 99 of our 10th grade students at our Inspire Dreams Move Forward!” said Armijo’s principal, Ms. Sandy Smith.

The students toured several different Solano County businesses and “the chaperones reported that our students were so well-behaved and asked great questions,” she said.

English Department Chair Ms. Ann Budak said “The students were so impressed by Judge Garrett’s story.” Judge Ramona Garrett was the keynote speaker for the event. She herself wis an Armijo alumni and former Solano County Judge.

“She was INSPIRING, and our students were engaged throughout her presentation, and again, asked thoughtful questions,” said Principal Smith.

“It sounds like a wonderful enrichment experience- truly worthy of celebration,” said Ms. Tisha Donnelly, English teacher.

Ms. Sandy Anderson, College and Career adviser, worked hard to find the correct students for the event and to place them in the right positions. The students were able to have this experience on Friday, February 7.
