Now that she’s here, it’s not so bad…

Adriana Mendoza is second in command for the Class of 2021, serving the Associated Student Body (ASB) as one of the top class officers in leadership. “ASB is really just a fancy name for the head name of leadership,” Mendoza said.

Her friend Shyanne Stever serves as president of the class. “The only reason I stepped up to be vice president is because nobody else wanted to have that responsibility,” Mendoza said. “My friends motivated me, especially Shyanne.” The Class of 2021 is also missing their fourth officer, but the others tend to pick up the slack. This is important because they are the students who plan the prom for the senior class.

After serving for nearly a semester, Mendoza admitted that she does like being in charge and it doesn’t get in the way of her schoolwork. “The only con about my position is I have to judge/grade my friends and that’s what is kind of stopping me from wanting to move up to president as a senior.” Mendoza highly recommends that newcomers join leadership, partly because the teachers who run it are very nice.

After she graduates, she plans go to someplace like Solano Community College before continuing on to a four-year college or university because she’s unsure about her major.
