Don’t let the weather keep you from memorable fun with friends.

On December 6, the Skate for Change Club will be hosting a donation movie event.

“Skate for Change tries to host lots of events,” said Club Adviser Ms. Grace Fahrenthold.

The event, a movie night, originally scheduled to take place on the football field, has been rescheduled to the cafeteria because of the impending rain. A huge projector will show the either Avengers End Game. It will begin around 5 pm, once it’s dark out.

Although the event is free, audience members are encouraged to bring donations, like gently used cold-weather clothing, blankets, or even socks. Those donations will be the ticket in.

“We do distributions every month,” said Ms. Fahrenthold. All of the donations are given to the homeless people in and around Fairfield.

“Depending on the amount of donations, the items should be able to be distributed throughout the winter,” said Ms. Fahrenthold.

The event will have concession stands filled with basic movie snacks, like candy and popcorn. Luckily, hot chocolate will also be on the list. The money raised their will also be used to help the homeless in this cold season.

Due to the cold weather, be sure to bring a blanket and dress warmly!
