When Rudy Ruiz started working at El Pollo Loco, he learned a lot. That’s because he had a lot of jobs to do. He works as a cashier, but he also cooks.

This is his first job and he has been working there for about a year.

In order to get this job, or any job, he needed to prove that he was responsible and had good grades and a great background.

“It’s not hard having a job,” said Ruiz. “You can get easy money if you’re not lazy.”

Ruiz enjoys his job and he gets along with the people that work there. He’s able to get a lot of hours in, which is always good for the paycheck.

During soccer season, he probably won’t be working as much as he plans to play on Armijo’s varsity team, but for those who are starting a new job: “Save up while you’re treating yourself, and be humble with your day,” he said
