On Friday, October 18, the Adaptive PE students from Armijo, Fairfield, Rodriguez, Vacaville, Wood and Dixon High Schools, along with volunteers from those sites, gathered together for an annual golf tournament.
This event, which is exclusively for high school students, has been going on for over 20 years. The Northern California Golf Pros sponsor the event so that the students and volunteers are able to participate for free.
Throughout the event, the golf pros managed different stations for the special education students so that they could develop social and emotional growth as they learn golf skills. The Adaptive PE department hosts several events throughout the year.
