Maia speaks for the LBGTQ community and believes that it’s  her obligation to talk about how she feels inside because she knows that some of us feel the same way.

A relatively local celebrity, Maia still lives in the Bay Area and has written songs such as Prom Dress, Please Don’t, and The Idea of You. She has written most of  her songs in her parents’ guest room, using it as a sort of studio.

Maia uses multiple social media apps such as Tik Tok, Instagram, and YouTube. She can also play multiple instruments including violin, cello, trumpet and guitar. Her 2018 Debut EP Plum Blossoms had more than 100 million streams on Spotify.

I have listened to a couple of Maia’s songs. Prom Dress is one of my personal favorites. I really enjoy the beat of the songs and the lyrics as well. Another song, Please Don’t, explains how she feels for someone and that she doesn’t want them to give up on her.

Her songs make me want to cry, if I’m being honest, but I also want to get up and dance. Her songs have a type of energy that I personally love. She Is one of my favorite artists, I enjoy listening to her songs daily.
