#FSUSDRunsThis starts its second year.

Last year, Cleo Gordon PE teacher Mr. Gary Schmidt helped to organize an event where people of all ages could make friends and run at the same time. With three free fun runs spread out throughout the year and scheduled at different schools, people had the opportunity to exercise in a safe, family-friendly idea.

During the first race last year, over 400 people showed up, ready to run. This year, the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District hopes to continue encouraging people to run.

The first run is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 21 at Laurel Creek Elementary School.

The event begins at 9 am with a 1-mile run / walk. Thirty-minutes later, the 5k run / walk starts. The first 400 runners to complete the 5k will receive commemorative bracelets.
