Volleyball success: A team effort

Many high school sports require a good basis of teamwork between the players to win games or matches and continue on to succeed in their leagues. One of the sports that this happens to be most true for is Volleyball, and we’ve collected insider advice on the world of said sport.

Fifteen-year-old junior, Lindsey Reyes has been playing volleyball all of high school so far and sincerely enjoys it. She says, “I play Volleyball because it motivates me to do better, it’s my passion and I love the competitiveness of it.”

Reyes’s favorite part of the sport itself is the team aspect of it. Rather than being an individual game, the six players present on a court must have an established trust if they are to succeed. When asked about the goals her and her team have set for this year, they are very determined to do well in the league as a whole while Reyes herself also seeks to strengthen her individual skill set in hopes to be more reliable on the court.

“My teammates are always supportive on and off the court and we are able to pick each other up during games as well as motivate each other to do better,” said Reyes.
