What happens to our lives when any of these things fails to function the way we expect?

From the first light bulb to the first car, technology has impacted the world so much that it is engraved into society. People can’t imagine their lives without technology; we use it every hour, every minute, every second. Something as simple as transportation, something people have been taking care of for generations with limited resources, is totally reliant on technology.

The impact of technology can have long lasting results on people, allowing people to operate both efficiently and proficiently. It has a way of connecting people, teaching them new skills and helping them become more involved in the world around them.

With the help of technology, society will continue to grow, affecting both the casual or work settings.

Technology removes barriers of distance and time. For instance, an individual can teach someone from India or China and connect with people there. It even enhances the food supply, making it much safer for consumption and more efficient for safety.

What we had ten years ago is vastly different from what we have today. We have autonomous cars, cameras with exceptional quality and wireless earbuds that are almost invisible. We have become so reliant on these and other technological advances that sometimes we forget that they have not always been available, but the question does come up: what happens when technology isn’t feasible? Imagine a fast food restaurant trying to figure out what to charge a customer, a gas station trying to dispense gas, or a person trying to call 911, all without technology. The world can change in an instant. Are we prepared?
