FAIRFIELD — The city is accepting applications for the Youth Commission.

Members serve as an advisory body to the Fairfield City Council on community issues or projects that have the potential to impact the youth of the community.

The Youth Commission interacts with the other city commissions as deemed necessary by project or issue.

Seven seats are available for appointment. Three expire at the end of the year. The remaining four end Dec. 31, 2021.

Applicants must be residents of Fairfield and between the ages of 12 and 21. Mayor Harry Price will appoint the commission members with the approval of the City Council.

The Youth Commission currently meets at 7 p.m. the first Monday of the month.

Applications are available at the City Clerk’s Office at Fairfield City Hall, 1000 Webster St., fourth floor.
