Jordan plays baseball at Armijo, but takes advantage of more opportunities to stary fit.

“It takes a lot of hard work and commitment [to participate in a sport. Student athletes] must be willing to work hard at practice every day and play hard every single game,” said JV baseball player Jordan Scrivens. He has been playing the sport for a long time and, during the season, set a goal to be able to work well with his team.

Baseball is the only official sport that Scrivens plays at Armijo and is hoping to receive a scholarship to play in college, but it isn’t the only thing he’s been part of on campus. He was part of the Powder Puff cheer squad and participated in the Battle of Armijo. “I chose these because they both involve teamwork and they are very fun,” he said. “Besides baseball, I enjoy exercising with my siblings. My sister and I both attend a Crossfit class almost every day throughout the week.”

Scriven’s sister is 19 and he also has a 22-year old brother. “Both of my siblings are role models because they both work hard and they each have a great attitude,” he said.
