The Assist-A-Grad (AAG) scholarship interviews were held over four nights in April from 6 to 9:20 pm.  Fifty-eight students from Armijo competed with students from around the county for over $100,000. Students were able to interview for up to three scholarships and Armijo students earned 76 of those that were offered.

The winning students received a letter inviting them to participate in the AAG Awards Ceremony on Monday, May 6 at 7 pm at the Fairfield Community Center (next to the Solano County Library). The AAG Foundation wanted to maintain an element of surprise, so students were not told which scholarships they were receiving until the awards ceremony.

While the AAG competition is over, there are still other scholarships available.  Students in all grade levels can go to scholarship.com or fastweb.com and complete a profile.  In addition, students are encouraged to visit the College and Career center for local and national scholarships or look at an updated list of scholarships on The Armijo Signal. Students who have been awarded a scholarship should contact Ms. Sandy Anderson in the Career Center so that they can be recognized at our Seniors Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 22 at 6:30 pm in the gymnasium.
