It’s not over until it’s over – and on June 8 at 5 am, it is over!

Grad Nite is an Armijo tradition open only to graduating seniors. This year, the event will take place on Friday, June 7, although the graduation ceremony will be on Thursday, June 6. This allows the members of the Class of 2019 to celebrate with their families before sharing one last night with their classmates.

Seniors are invited to come to the event when the doors open at 9 pm, but they must be at the event no later than 11 pm or they will miss out. This year, the party goes until 5 am, ending with a one-hour hypnotist show and a $1000 Grand Prize drawing, and graduates must be present to win.

Tickets are available for $75 Tuesdays at lunch in front of the library. That means that students will want to purchase them May 14, 21 or 28. Those who purchase their ticket in advance will get a T-shirt signed by members of Class of 2019. Tickets will also be available at the door for $85, although t-shirts for those attendees are not guaranteed.

Graduates at the event will enjoy all-you-can-eat food and drink all night long. There will be dozens of fun games with the chance to earn raffle tickets. There will also be outdoor activities, dancing, photos in the photo booth, and a casino to experience. In the past, a DVD full of photos taken throughout the event has been mailed home to keep the memories alive.

Members of the Class of 2019 are encouraged to buy their tickets early so that there will be sufficient food and drink available for the attendees.
