Terrell Wrice serves as president for the Class of 2019. “I run meetings for the class to plan events like Senior Skit, Senior Trip, Senior Send-Off, etc.,” said Wrice. “I was interested because planning things and seeing my vision come to life is rewarding.”

Wrice felt that he had something to offer to make senior year fun and memorable, so he decided to run for office. “I’m not sure if I want to be in government [in college], but I would like to join organizations and have leadership roles,” he said. The college that Wrice would like to attend is UCLA where he hopes to study political science. “Then I want to go to law school and become Attorney General of California.” He also said that his role model is Beyoncé. “If I had her work ethic, there is nothing I couldn’t accomplish.”

He would love to see others get involved in student government at Armijo if the interest and opportunity were available. “There are very few times opportunities come again in life, and it’s better to try than to contemplate what could have been.

While his time at Armijo is drawing to a close, Wrice can see areas where improvement is needed. “I would change students’ respect and attitude toward teachers. They are here to help and are teaching because they love it and us. The least we can do is try to respect them as a thank you for their hard work,” he said.

When he’s not focused on Armijo, Wrice has a lot of things to keep him busy. “I like to draw and I am an active member of my church,” he said. “I also work a lot to save for college, so that takes a hefty chunk of my time. My hobbies would be writing and helping my dad restore old cars.”
