Prom is a very special night. For some girls it’s the biggest night of their lives so far. So, with big events comes amazing outfits, but what is too much for prom?

At Armijo High School there is a dress code and it could affect a lot of girls’ outfit planning. The dress code actually carries over to this event, despite the fact that it does not take place on campus. One portion of it reads: “No halter tops, strapless tops, spaghetti straps, see-through tops, backless tops, tube tops, or low-cut tops and for dresses they must all be at least fingertip length”(AHS website). The faculty wants students to have a fantastic prom, so when picking that perfect prom, outfit keep these guidelines in mind.

Don’t worry, guys, we didn’t forget about you! The prom guidelines also cover how to dress for the event. “All trousers, pants, or shorts must be totally cover undergarments. Pants must be worn on the waist or hips – no sagging allowed.”(AHS website).

Everyone should remember that the goal is to dress to impress. Be fashion focused, but be sure to follow the rules. Those who don’t might be sent home from the event. Prom is a unforgettable night, so don’t forget these few dress code guidelines and miss out.
