Happy Death Day 2U is a mystery/slasher film and is the sequel to the movie Happy Death Day that came out in the fall of 2017.

When I say that this was a bad movie, I seriously mean it was a bad movie. I tried to like it, but from the complicated plot to the clichés and adequate acting, it really just didn’t live up to my personal expectations.

Although the movie was categorized as a mystery/slasher film, it was highly advertised as horror yet there was few to no scares in the entire film. Personally, the previews before the movie scared me more than the movie itself.

The plot of the film possibly would have been better as a sci-fi. It was overall very messy and had a slightly confusing storyline. Even the climax of the film wasn’t exciting and felt very bland.

On a kinder note, the movie had some good jokes here and there, along with some heartwarming scenes that made me sympathize with the main character. Sadly, other than that, it was far from being the best movie.

I would personally advise you to save your money, especially if you are intending on being scared.
