College focus: Spread the news for Santa Cruz

UC Santa Cruz is a public research university in California. Their mascot they have is Sammy the Slug.

UC Santa Cruz have many different majors for anyone that applies. The majors at this school are all categorized in different categories based on the student’s interest. For those who are interested in Art, you are able to major in that field which can lead you into different careers such as Art and law, Curating, Digital imaging, Publishing, etc. For those who loves glorious elements of theatre you can major it and in that field you progress to be an actor, dancer, costume designer, choreographer, etc. Whatever you decide to major in most likely they’ll have it.

What most people like to do on their free time is sports to stay active and healthy. UC Santa Cruz has many sport programs for students to join. What this school offer for both boys and girls are volleyball, basketball, cross-country, rugby, soccer, tennis, golf, and other sports. They also have programs with competitive and noncompetitive sports for everyone. The non competitive sports they have are aikido, backpacking, ballroom dancing, Special Olympics, ping pong, and other sports. One of their sports program is called Camp Kesem. Camp Kesem is a camp for children who’s parent has cancer.

Finally, UC Santa Cruz have many opportunities of clubs and organizations. There’s different one that has fields of Academic, Cultural & Identity, Environmental & Sustainability, General Interest, Greek Letter Organizations, Performing & Visual Arts, Political & Advocacy, Professional, Religious & Spiritual, and other programs. If you have any of these interest of anything, then UC Santa Cruz is the school for you.
